Commodities online research is something that is not done enough in the current investing environment.  As stated several times on this website, commodities have been and will continue to be the way to make money investing right now.  It has been tough to hold through the rough times since July 2008, but if you did, you will see great gains in the months ahead as Gold will lead the way.

Some of the most enthusiatic investing news of last week as the fact that gold broke $1000 an ounce.  The current bull market high for gold is $1033 but this number is likely to be crushed soon.  The psychological barrier of $1000 an ounce did just that for an entire year.  After breaking $1000 an ounce in February of 2008, the precious metal did not breach this number again until last week.  Now that $1000 have been broken, the sky might be the limit for gold.

Many analysts feel that gold is not a strong investment as it has climbed from $220 an ounce to $1000 an ounce since 2001.  The naive investor may think that this bull market is over as the king of metals is up over 350% while almost every other investment vehicles, especially stocks has been down since 2001.  Well, with a little bit of research, you will find that gold has a long way to go as the commodities bull market has at least five more years to go and could last until 2021.

The most exciting aspect of the current bull market in gold is the fact that the largest gains will be seen in the last year or two of the bull market.  When the mainstream media, including CNBC, has documentaries on a daily basis on the prospect of investing in gold, this is when the metal will skyrocket.  When we see Erin Burnett and Jim Cramer announcing from the trading floor of the NYMEX and Chicago Board of trade encouraging investors to buy gold, this is when we will see a parabolic topping pattern in which you want to be in gold.

In our next edition of Commodities Online Research we will analyze gold prices during the last bull run from 1965 to 1982.
